How the Scanner Works
This page is for explaining the science: light, color sensors, and how our app turns RGB values into pool-chemistry numbers.
- Camera first measures raw RGB colors from each pad.
- We divide by a white-balance value so different lighting looks consistent.
- For each pad, we compare the measured color to the brand’s color chart. The closest match gives us the ppm value.
- Those ppm values plus the pool gallon estimate feed into standard pool-service formulas to calculate how much chemical to add.
